Pre‑Order Policy

What is a Pre‑Order?
A Pre‑Order is an opportunity to purchase an item currently out of stock that will be available later. By Pre‑Ordering, you secure the item upon release, avoiding sell‑outs. Estimated availability is in the product description but may change per the manufacturer’s schedule.

How long will my Pre‑Order take to arrive?
Once Segway Maui receives your item, we’ll contact you via phone and email within 1–3 business days, and also notify when it arrives at our warehouse. If you’ve ordered multiple Pre‑Order items, we’ll ship each as it becomes available. Some may arrive sooner than others.

When will I be charged for my Pre‑Order?
Payment is processed at the time of purchase.

Can I cancel my Pre‑Order?
Yes — contact info@segwaymaui.com within 24 hours to cancel. A 10% cancellation fee applies. After 24 hours, the full amount is charged and cancellation isn’t possible.

Why did another retailer receive the item first?
Manufacturers ship to retailers on different schedules—some get products 4–6 weeks before others. We ship as soon as we receive the item. Subscribe to our newsletter for shipping updates.

What if the release date changes?
Release dates may shift due to production, shipping, or supply chain issues. We’ll update you via product descriptions, emails, and our Pre‑Order Update Page when there’s new information.


Local Pickup & Assembly

  • Local Pickup With Assembly – We’ll unbox, assemble, set up, and charge the item, and it will be ready at our Kahului store. Assembly by Segway Maui is required to maintain manufacturer warranty. We’ll notify you when it’s in and you’ll schedule a pickup appointment.

  • Free Local Pickup (Unassembled) – You can pick up the boxed item from our Kahului warehouse. You’ll be responsible for assembly, setup, and any issues—manufacturer warranty is void. We’ll notify you when it’s ready; you’ll schedule a pickup time. Ensure you can transport and assemble it safely.

  • Home Delivery – We’ll deliver your fully assembled and tested item within a 10‑mile radius of Kahului, including all accessories.


Disclaimer & Safety Notice

You’re responsible for a full pre‑ride inspection before initial use: check bolts, cables, mounts, tire pressure, brakes, and electrical connections. Repeat inspections before each ride. Failure to do so may cause hazards or damage. Segway Maui is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage due to failure to inspect.


Product Warranty & Other Terms

Segway Maui provides warranty coverage for products assembled by us in Kahului. Warranties aren’t transferrable. If the product is shipped unassembled or picked up boxed, manufacturer warranty is void. Labor isn’t included; customers handle repair labor. Segway Maui offers support by phone with instructions or videos.

Manufacturer Warranties:

  • Electric Motion, Surron, Falcon, Talaria, ERide, Nicot, Admit Jet, Kollter, Newbot: 1‑year warranty on motor, battery, and controller.

  • Stark Future (Stark VARG MX/EX): 2‑year warranty covering manufacturing defects; claims via Stark support form.

  • Mototec & Vertigo: 90‑day manufacturer warranty.

Warranty applies only if the bike is properly set up and serviced by Segway Maui, and maintained per the owner’s manual. Void for improper use, wear parts, neglect, modifications, accidents, misuse, water damage, stunt riding, etc. Batteries also excluded from damage due to misuse or normal wear.

Damage determination is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer.


E‑Scooter Warranty

  1. 12‑Month Limited Warranty for motor and main body.

  2. 6‑Month Limited Warranty for accessories (batteries, chargers, brakes, etc.).

  3. 3‑Month Limited Warranty for appearance/wear parts (lights, grips, fenders, etc.).

Warranty does not cover unauthorized maintenance, misuse, accidents, liquid ingress, commercial use, or force majeure.


Torp Limited Product Warranty

Segway Maui / Torp warrants its products to be free from defects for 2 years from the invoice date. Excludes damage from negligence, improper installation, unauthorized mods, natural disasters, theft, surface scratches, legal issues, etc.

For warranty replacements: proof of purchase within 2 years, contact support with serial number; customer covers shipping to Torp, and returned items shipped free by Torp (customer covers outbound shipping).


Riding Gear & Apparel Warranty

All sales final. Wrong‑size items may be exchanged (same brand/model/price) within 30 days, unused and in original packaging; customer pays shipping. Warranted to be free from defects for 1 year (original purchaser only). Excludes damages from abuse, improper repairs, fit issues, or misuse. No other express warranties; implied warranties limited to 30 days; no incidental/consequential damages.


Venom & Lifan Motorcycle Warranty

  • 50cc–250cc Venom & Lifan Motorcycles: 1‑year parts warranty; first month includes parts & shipping; remaining year parts only (customer pays shipping).

  • ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Pocket Bikes, Mini Choppers: same 1‑year parts warranty.


Electric Vehicle Warranty

Applies to electric bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, dirt bikes (Mototec excluded). 1‑year parts warranty, including shipping first month (customer covers labor/shipping beyond that unless extended warranty purchased).


Warranty Exclusions

No coverage for accidents, modifications, unauthorized parts, lack of service, improper storage, improper fuel/oil use, or normal wear parts (rubber, tires, belts, brake components, cables, filters, spark plugs, bulbs, batteries, sprockets, grips, seat, springs, water damage).

Repairs must be done by qualified professionals to retain warranty. Failure voids warranty. Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery for claims.


Pre‑Delivery Inspection

All purchased vehicles must be assembled and tested by a certified mechanic. Segway Maui ships most products 85‑95% assembled. If chosen, customer must finish assembly and keep mechanic’s records.


Shipping & Assembly

Larger products shipped in crates. Customer must inspect and tighten bolts, ensure fluid levels, inspect packaging for damage before signing. Segway Maui recommends first oil change after 5‑hour break‑in period using 10W40 oil.


All Sales Final

Segway Maui does not offer exchanges, returns, or refunds. Inspect items before buying. We provide photos/videos; for any issues, contact Technical Support.


MCO & Registration

We’ll provide Manufacturer Certificate of Origin and Bill of Sale per state regulations, notarized. Customer is responsible for registration with local DMV. Segway Maui reserves no refund if vehicle cannot be registered.


Liability & Risks

Purchaser assumes all risks associated with vehicle use, including disability or death. Segway Maui is not liable.


American Lifan 2‑Year Limited Warranty

Covers 24 months or 12,000 miles. Excludes labor. Not transferable. Exclusions include negligence, unauthorized repairs, racing use, improper parts, modifications, time‑based deterioration, improper storage, unauthorized repairs, or natural disasters.


Standard Wear Parts

Excluded: spark plugs, filters, belts, chains, brake/shock parts, bulbs, fuses, gaskets, tires, hoses, batteries, seats, and general wear items.

Segway Maui TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Segway of Maui, as identified throughout, shall also include any and all companies doing business as owned subsidiaries of Stardust Hawaii, and shall also mean any authorized agent for Segway of Maui.
  • Acceptance of documents and/or invoices, either physical or electronic, is an acknowledgment that you accept these terms and conditions.
  • Placing an Order: Once you place your order,you will receive an automatic confirmation email about your payment. This payment confirmation serves as an acknowledgment that the charges made on your behalf for any form of travel purchased through Segway of Maui are legitimate charges, and you will not challenge any legitimate charges made. In the event of doing any chargeback or attempt to reverse your credit card for these legitimate charges, you will be responsible for any court costs incurred by Segway of Maui to recover those funds.
  • Checks returned for insufficient funds or stop payments, will result in maximum penalties as allowed by Hawaii Law and Statute. Insufficient funds checks will be subject to maximum penalties allowed and may be subject to criminal prosecution, and any other applicable laws and statutes.
  • Litigation: In case of litigation, all litigation will occur in a Hawaii Court of Law, or be mitigated by a licensed arbitrator chosen by Segway of Maui.
  • An invoice from Segway Maui has the same strength as a signature on file and will be considered as such in a court of law or for any challenges to a reversal of charges on a credit card.
  • We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy lets you know how your personal information is processed and used. We will use your personal information only in ways that are compatible with this Privacy Policy.
  • We will NEVER sell your e-mail address or any other information about you to a third party.
  • When purchasing tickets, all information gathered is strictly confidential and shared only with our financial institution for processing!
  • We maintain a strict “No-Spam” policy, which means we do not sell, rent, or otherwise give your personal information to outside companies.

I. INTRODUCTION

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using these websites.

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “you” and “your” means each person, group of individuals, entity or entities who visits these Segway Maui websites (as defined below) or the Segway Maui’s mobile app (the “Mobile App”) for any purpose.

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the “Website Providers” or “We” means the Segway Maui final drawing including its agents, contractors, and any parties involved in creating, producing or delivering the website.

The Segway Maui reserves the right to terminate, suspend or cancel any participant for suspected fraud of any type, any attempt to purchase from a location that is not within the geographic boundaries of USA, the purchase or attempted purchase by persons under the age of 18 years old, and for violations of any applicable rules, regulations, state or federal laws.

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the “Segway Maui” means the Segway Maui, including its agents, contractors, and any parties involved in creating, producing, or delivering these websites, including, but not limited to, Bubba Gump restaurant located in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii and each of their respective successors and assigns.

These Terms and Conditions are a binding legal agreement between you and the Segway Maui for the final drawings purpose. By participating on final drawings, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions

The Segway Maui may change these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you by posting changes on these websites. The Segway Maui encourages you to review these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Your continued use of these websites following the posting of any changes will mean that you accept the revised Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions please let us know immediately to remove you from final drawings.

II. USE OF WEBSITE AND WEBSITE MATERIAL

  • You agree to access and use these Websites only for lawful reasons. You are responsible for knowing and complying with any and all laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to your use of these Websites. You are prohibited from using these Websites in any way that:

III. MAKING PURCHASES

    • A. Authority
      • When you provide a valid payment method to us, you confirm that you are authorized to use that payment method. When you fund a transaction, you authorize us (and our designated payment processor) to charge the full amount to the payment method you designate for the transaction. You may also authorize us to collect and store that payment method, along with other related transaction information.
  • B. Approval
    • If you pay by credit or debit card, we may obtain a pre-approval from the issuer of the card for an amount, which may be as high as the full price of your purchase. We will bill your card at the time you load funds for your Segway Maui Tour Ticket transaction, or shortly thereafter. If you cancel a transaction before completion, this pre-approval may result in those funds not otherwise being immediately available to you.
  • C. Failed Funding
    • If you fund a payment by debit card and your load transaction results in an overdraft or other fee from your bank, you are solely responsible for the resulting fee(s).

V. ACTIONS WE MAY TAKE

  • A. Terminate Use
    • The Segway Maui reserves the right to terminate, suspend or cancel any purchase transactions for suspected fraud of any type, any attempt to purchase from a location that is not within the geographic boundaries of USA, the purchase or attempted purchase by persons under the age of 18 years old, and for violations of any applicable rules, regulations, state or federal laws.
  • B. Sharing of Information
    • We may contact your financial institution or card issuer, law enforcement, or affected third parties (including other users) and share details of your payments or transactions associated with your Internet purchase, if we believe doing so may prevent financial loss or a violation of law.

VI. NOTICES AND AMENDMENTS TO THESE TERMS

  • A. Notice to You
    • By registering for the Segway Maui final drawing, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically to deliver any important information regarding your purchases or your account. We may also provide notices to you by posting them on our Websites, or by sending them to an email address or street address that you previously provided to us. Website and email notices shall be considered received by you within 24 hours of the time posted or sent; notices by postal mail shall be considered received within five (5) business days of the time sent.
  • C. Amendment Guidelines
    • We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice as we deem necessary to the full extent permitted by law. The Terms and Conditions in place at the time you confirm a transaction will govern that transaction.

VII. ADDITIONAL TERMS

  • A. Courtesy Translations
    • These Terms were written in English (US). To the extent any translated version of these terms conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.
  • B. E-mail Practices
    • By purchasing Internet Tour Ticket and be eligible for final drawings, you acknowledge and agree that Segway Maui may send you e-mail containing information about final drawings detail, results and products such as special offers and promotions.

  • software failure, including but not limited to, bugs, errors, viruses, configuration problems, incompatibility of systems, utilities or applications, the operation of firewalls or screening programs, unreadable codes, or irregularities within particular documents or other content;

The Segway Maui reserves the right to terminate your access to these Websites at any time and for any reason, including for violation of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of termination, you will no longer be authorized to access these, purchase Internet Tour Tickets eligible for drawings. You shall have no recourse and the Segway Maui shall have no liability as a result of any such termination. All provisions of these Terms and Conditions relating to warranties, confidentiality obligations, proprietary rights, and limitation of liability shall remain effective despite such termination.
