Age restriction
10yrs-16yrs – need to be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian during tour
16yrs–18yrs – can go alone but a parent or a legal guardian needs to sign the waiver.

Recommended to bring:Closed shoes, sun-screen, sun-glasses. Bottled water and other refreshments including snacks are available at the office for a purchase.
Age Restrictions – IF UNDER 18:16 years and younger, but a minimum of 10 years old, must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperon on a tour. (Chaperon form is required.) Guests between 16 and 17 years old must have a parent or guardian present at check-in and sign waiver to participate.
Weight Restrictions:Weight restrictions are between 75 lbs and 260 lbs for Segway Tours. Weight limits are strictly enforced, and each guest might be weighed at check-in.
Health & Physical Requirements:
All guests must be capable of moderate to advanced physical activity, must be able to step on and off the Segway PT without assistance which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without the support of a handrail or other walking aid.
Guests must not have neck, back, shoulder, knee, ankle injuries, heart conditions, or recent surgeries.
No pregnant women will be allowed to ride a Segway PT.
Persons under drug or alcohol influences will not be allowed to ride a Segway PT.
Guests must be physically and mentally capable of following instructions given by a Segway guide.

It was a great experience. This was our third time on a Segway. The training was the best we have received. Tom was an excellent tour guide. Neither of our previous Segway tours (not in Hawaii) included the use of headsets. This was a great enhancement to our tour. Tom was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We learned a lot. We would strongly recommend Segway Maui for their professionalism and the experience they provided.

Our tour guide Tom, was outstanding! His initial instruction on the operation of the Segway was easy to understand and follow. One of those in our group was extremely nervous about operating the Segway but Tom managed to calm their apprehension and they were operating the unit with ease in just a few minutes. My wife and I have taken several Segway tours but we still learned a few new tricks thanks to Tom’s instructions. His knowledge of the Lahaina area was interesting and well presented. To see the landmarks in person while hearing about the history takes the tour to a whole new level as you ride the transporter. If you are researching adventures to participate in while visiting the island this is a “must do” especially if you have never ridden a Segway!

Wow!! What a great day…on the Segway! There was a wonderful vibe on the whole experience! John was a great teacher and a terrific guide. We tried something new for us…succeeded…and saw Lahaina in a very new way. We decided to do this as our very first activity in Maui. It was the right choice. Got up. Got going. Saw the town. Learned some history. But most of all had FUN! John was really the key to all of that. Would we do it again? In a heartbeat!

We did a tour where our guide was John, We arrived early and was greeted well. Keep the tour started with paperwork and waivers and then we spent about 20 minutes getting comfortable with the Segway. Once everyone was good to go we started the tour which consisted of going from the shop through the town Lahaina. We visited a few stops and John was able to explain the history of the area and all the site. He suggested that it was wise to take the tour before visiting the area on your own which I would defiantly agree with. The only two negatives was that with a small group it would have been better if the guide learned the participants names and that part of the 2 hours was doing paperwork, so the actual time on the Segway was 1.5 hrs

“Great fun and educational!” We have been on several segway tours. If you have not taken a segway tour you are missing out! Segway Maui does an excellent job! They do a great job making sure you and everyone on segways are road ready before leaving. They have a practice area to make sure everyone is ready and comfortable on the segway before you take it to the streets. Our guide was John and he did an excellent job! His knowledge of the area and tour were great! John had some fun comments and was very easy to listen to. John gave many facts about the area, history and vegetation. I would recommend this tour to families, couples and friend groups. Well done Segway Maui! I WOULD use them again.

“Great experience well worth a go”
Like many people we had not been on a a Segway before, the day started with a safety briefing followed by the issue of a high vis waistcoat and helmet then outside to meet our trusty steeds. We were given one to one guidance on how to get onto the Segaway and operate it, we had a training session on a track in the car park to ensure we were all confident in the use of them. Once trained we were split into two groups my wife and myself were with Pat we went along the road to a park and through the town Pat kept an eye on us to make sure we were all safe and fed us with local information. Once completed there was an option to buy a Segway licence and a photo card with pictures of Maui and those taken on the day. It was a great experience well worth a go.
“Great Way to See Lahaina” We got hooked on Segways during previous vacations, so when we saw Segway Maui we knew we had to give it a try, and we weren’t disappointed. The tour started with a safety video, and everyone got safety vests and helmets. Then into the parking lot for training on the use of the Segways. Several members of our group had never been on a Segway before, but it didn’t take long for them to get the hang of it, or for us to feel comfortable again as well. We decided on the 2 hour tour, as a shorter tour always goes by too fast. We were a small group of 5, which was nice. I found the communication radio was very helpful, so we didn’t miss instructions or the interesting information about the sites. We headed all the way down Front Street, stopping for breaks to see the ocean, Banyan Court Park, Old Lahaina Prison, and the Sugar Cane Train and to take pictures. John and Mark were great. Parking was a problem, as the office lot has very few spaces, and the few nearby streets are jammed full of cars. Some finally parked in the Taco Bell lot, or all the way down at Walgreens.

He took us to some places that most tourists wouldn’t find. Nobody left the office until he felt they were confident in using the Segway. They were amazingly easy to use and so much fun. “For the Legit & Beginner Seg-Heads!”
Our tour was lead by John, an absolutely passionate Segway enthusiast, and he was the best tour guide I’ve had on a Segway in the more than 5 times I’ve done this sort of tour… Hands Down! Our group was full of people who had all had experience on a Segway aside from one or two people and so we were spoiled by not having to wait for too long or too many riders having to “figure it out” and John made sure that we reaped the full benefits of that! Also, the newbies got plenty of attention so they came along very fast with John’s instruction and the support of the group (what a great group too by the way…) The tour took us to some beautiful and historic locations and we even had a chance to just enjoy our time on the Segway by the beach just enjoying the machines themselves. Truly an awesome experience that I would suggest for anyone that is either really into Segways or just wanting to get involved for the first time in a situation that will be a positive experience. Truly an awesome tour that we WILL do again on our next visit to Maui. No doubt!

“One of the best!” We did a family outing including grandparents – It was outstanding! So one the grandparents was lets say majorly scared to ride the segway. John (our tour guide) saw this right away and took her first and just as you do when you teach a child to ride a bike, he carefully and methodically work with her until she was ready to ride. She has such a great time that she had a tee shirt made with one of the pictures! John also did an outstanding job on the tour of taking around Lahaina Town providing us history, taking us to a few places not on our planned visit spots for the island and ultimately making it a memorable and enjoyable event!

“Ultimate Family Fun!” What an perfect and absolutely fun way to get a taste of the charming city of Lahaina. We are here with our 2 daughters, 14 and 10 years old. Back home, the minimum age for a Segway is 16 years old, so this was such a treat to do something like this together as a family. John, our tour guide, was “rockin’ it” from the word “go” with his very serious and thorough operating and safety training. He had our girls up and going in a matter of minutes brimming with confidence and smiles. John was also such an informative and entertaining tour guide as we glided through Lahaina’s wonderful historic sites, beachfront views and charming shops. It was also fun zipping around at our own (top) speed at the ocean front park. Our girls are begging to do it again tomorrow. “One of the Best Things to do in Lahaina Town” My husband and I were in Maui for 3 days. While staying in Lahaina, we were looking for something fun to do. Our Segway tour with Segway Maui was Awesome! We had done a tour before but this was a great experience. Safety was the #1 concern, we spent time getting used to the segways before we ventured into town. During our tour the radios gave us a great historical review of Lahaina. It was also great to get a look at the whole town in the morning before we ventured out on our own in the afternoon to know what places we wanted to come back to visit.
